Applewoods Hydroponica originally opened for business selling hydroponic equipement and

Grow Lights / horticultural Lighting in October of 1997 inside the Garden Centre at Syon Park, Isleworth and remained there for two years. Unfortunately high rental cost combined with limited finances meant we could not stay.
 
For the next two years the business operated from the owners West London home in Chiswick, which sits on the edge of 3 Counties, (London, Middlesex and Surrey) until 2001 when the company rented a warehouse in Maswell Park, Hounslow, Middlesex.
From there we began trading in soil and the, at the time new hydroponic or ‘soil less’ medium of coco fibre.
 
Two years later the company again up sticks and moved onto the High Street, Brentford, Middlesex,(again on the edge of the 3 Counties) where we spent the next seven years, in a variety of shops and warehouses demonstrating how indoor growing / indoor gardening is the cutting edge of all gardening, whether you are looking to grow Herbs, Tomatoes, Sweet or Chilli Peppers. For those more adventuress Grow room equipment was shown to be perfect for higher value crops such as flowers from Tulips to Orchid and Medicinal Cannabis (medical Marijuana).
 
As we approach 2011 the company is moving away from High Street trading and looking to expand its web presence and trade. Moving into online trading we have hopes that ecommerce will further cement our presence in the hydroponics market and help to promote the use of hydroponics equipment and hydroponic products to the wider horticultural / plant growing/ cultivation market.
 
The owner Phil Walsh is still available for person to person trade but only through a prior appointment basis. Goods paid for and ordered online for collection will also need to be collected on a by prior appointment basis.
 
The company continues to endeavour to bring high quality products to the wider market of hobbyist, home growers and seasoned professionals alike. We hope to bring our own range of limited edition seeds ‘Growers of Conviction’ onto the site and into the market place early 2011, setting us apart from other ‘Grow Shops’ or hydroponic retailers.
